Our Story
1991
The Injury that Inspired Everything
Brothers Bryan and Sean were enjoying their last summer together before Sean would go off to college. One day, Sean received a frightening phone call - Bryan had broken his femur during a soccer game. The injury required extensive surgery and physical therapy in the hospital. Sean dropped everything to be by his brother’s side throughout his rehabilitation. This experience not only brought the brothers closer together, it ignited a shared passion for physical therapy.
2003
The Founding of Rehab United
After twelve years of education, training, and honing their expertise, Bryan and Sean founded Rehab United Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy on June 9th, 2003. Starting with their first clinic in Kearny Mesa, they built RU from the ground up. Their vision was to create a dynamic and engaging environment where patients could feel respected and empowered throughout their journey to recovery.
Today
A Dream Fulfilled
Over 20 years later, Rehab United has grown from a single clinic to eight locations across San Diego County! With each new addition to our team, Rehab United continues its legacy as a tight-knit team of professionals driven by a shared goal: to transform the lives of our patients and our community through education, empathy, and mutual respect.
