Biography
Since 1998, Bryan has been an esteemed physical therapist in the San Diego community. He obtained his bachelor's degree in physical therapy and health sciences from the University of New England. As a dedicated professional, Bryan is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
In 1999, Bryan initiated his first contracting company in the field of physical therapy. However, in 2003, he felt a strong desire to make a lasting impact on his patients and recognized the unique qualities his team possessed. Thus, he established Rehab United with the aim of driving positive change in the lives of as many San Diego community members as possible. This innovative organization, along with its partners, serves as the vehicle to fulfill Bryan's ambitious goal.
Under the mentorship of prominent San Diego therapists, Bryan gained extensive expertise in manual rehabilitation assessment and treatment. He has continued to refine his skills by embracing the latest techniques in functional biomechanics. Bryan's pursuit of knowledge led him to complete the year-long fellowship program called GIFT in 2007. As a member and facilitator of the inaugural class at the Gray Institute for Functional Transformation (GIFT), he honed his proficiency, competence, and credibility in Applied Functional Science. Through GIFT, Bryan learned strategies and techniques applicable to various patient types and purposes, including prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement. Additionally, Bryan plays a pivotal role in the curriculum development, progression, and mentorship of other fellows.
Bryan's passion for sharing his expertise extends to his involvement in academia. He has taught courses at San Diego State University and Pt Loma Nazarene University. Moreover, Bryan has delivered lectures at his alma mater, covering topics such as abnormal gait, foot mechanics and dysfunctions, applied functional science, and entrepreneurship.
From 1999 to 2004, Bryan served as the head strength and conditioning coach for the San Diego Arsenal Football Club. He has also acted as a rehabilitation and strength consultant for Poway High School Men's Lacrosse, the Albion Soccer Club, and as a speed coach for Pro Select Soccer. Leveraging his specialization in biomechanics, Bryan works with athletes from a wide range of sports, including AVP Pro Volleyball Tour athletes, high school baseball, lacrosse, hockey, track, cross-country, tennis, and football traveling teams. Furthermore, he has provided training to amateur and professional dancers, marathoners, triathletes, and numerous other individuals over the past 15 years.
