Our Approach
Expert Evaluation and Individualized Treatment
Our highly skilled therapists provide personalized evaluations in a private environment, where they can delve into your symptoms and background. With your permission, they may apply pelvic muscle palpation to address certain concerns. Our main goal is to enhance your mobility, build your strength, and optimize movement patterns, resulting in increased comfortability during your day-to-day tasks. Our program facilitates a return to your previous activity level, whether you've experienced injury, undergone surgery, or embarked on the transformative journey of childbirth.
For cases involving pelvic pain, we highly recommend consulting with your OB-GYN to rule out any underlying medical conditions. Our pelvic floor occupational therapy program works in harmony with medical care, resulting in optimal outcomes and empowering your recovery process.
Pelvic Floor Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists (OTs) at Rehab United approach pelvic floor dysfunction with a holistic and behavioral perspective. In addition to the techniques used by our physical therapists (PTs), OTs incorporate habits, roles, and routines that may impact pelvic function. We utilize both internal and external techniques, along with strengthening and mobility exercises, to reduce symptoms over time. By incorporating your daily habits and routines, we aim to make lasting changes. Furthermore, our highly trained OTs incorporate mental health components into treatment, assisting with problem-solving, decision-making, and behavior management.
