Biography
In 2004, Brian relocated to San Diego with aspirations of pursuing a career in Law Enforcement. However, his path took an unforeseen turn when he experienced a life-altering construction accident shortly after graduating from the academy. This incident resulted in the loss of his right leg above the knee and introduced him to the world of physical therapy.
While working as an aide at RU, Brian attended California State University San Marcos, earning his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology in 2007 and later obtaining his doctorate degree in physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine. Now, as the Clinic Director of Rehab United Carmel Valley, Brian is thrilled to come full circle and play a vital role within the RU team. Additionally, he holds the distinction of being a Graduate Fellow of Applied Functional Science (FAFS) and serves as the V.P. of Education at RU.
Together with co-owner Sean Hill, Brian contributed to the development of "RUniversity," an ongoing staff education curriculum aimed at fostering community health and wellness. Their efforts extend to supporting the Challenged Athlete Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing education and assistance to athletes facing physical challenges within the San Diego community.
