Erika came down to San Diego in 2017 to attend San Diego State University for her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and remained at San Diego State for her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

During her time as a physical therapy student, she had the opportunity to work with the Adapted Athletics program for three years, where she solidified her passion working with an orthopedic population.

She also treated a variety of patients in different settings during her clinical rotations including military-based outpatient services, pediatrics, and acute care.

Her father was her main motivation for becoming a physical therapist. As a family practice physician in her small hometown, he demonstrated empathy and dedication to each one of his patients. Erika strives to treat her own patients with the same level of care, and it is the main reason why she chose to start her career at Rehab United!

When she’s not in the clinic, Erika enjoys coaching gymnastics and getting outdoors as much as possible!
