Our Response to COVID-19

Updated: Jul 28, 2023

Rehab United is aware of the current health implications associated with the COVID-19 virus and we are staying up to date on the San Diego County Health recommendations. Although San Diego County is currently considered “low-risk” for this virus, your health, and the health of our staff, is of the utmost importance to us. As such, we are taking every precaution to ensure your safety. We are closely monitoring this situation and will keep you informed as information becomes available.

We can assure you that our cleanliness and sanitization has always been held to our highest standards. Our treatment providers thoroughly wash their hands in between working with each patient, and ensure that all surfaces and equipment are sanitized after each use and throughout the day. Likewise, all linens such as pillowcases, sheets, and towels are changed and laundered after each use.

We are also taking additional steps to help increase the cleanliness of our facilities and reduce the spread of germs:

  • Posting signs at each hand-washing station providing instructions on proper hand hygiene

  • Encouraging patients to wash their hands at the beginning and end of each visit

  • Reducing contact when welcoming each other, including handshakes, hugs, and high-fives

  • Increased sanitizing of equipment between each patient use

  • Treating patients at a greater distance from other patients whenever possible and appropriate

  • Increased sanitizing of additional areas in our facilities (washrooms, gym, front office, private rooms)

We will be here for you, as always. In accordance with recommendations from health officials, however, we simply ask that if you are experiencing symptoms of a cold or respiratory illness that you reschedule your appointment for the safety of our team and other patients and encourage you to contact your physician immediately.

Lastly, we ask that you please be patient with our team when you come in, as these additional cleaning procedures and precautions take time. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we take the necessary steps to ensure our community’s safety.
