NICKNAME: “Ellie” is a nickname – Elizabeth is only for when I am in trouble FUN FACT ABOUT YOU: Was a previous patient at RU

I was born and raised in Poway, CA , but I grew up on the soccer field. I was first introduced to Rehab United in high school, when I was referred to them as a patient. After being rehabbed through 3 different soccer injuries with the help of RU, I started volunteering for them in 2012, and transitioned to the role of PT aid in 2013.

I decided to step out of the California bubble when I got accepted into the PT program at Creighton University. While completing my DPT, I had the opportunity to complete several amazing rotations including one at Penn State Sports Med, Madonna Neurological Rehabilitation, the Center for the Intrepid and the ILAC clinic in the Dominican Republic. Through it all, I have developed a passion for working with patients who have undergone amputations and are working with prosthetics. After I completed my DPT, I decided I wasn’t done learning and decided to stay on at Creighton for a year long orthopedic residency. My residency allowed me not only to treat the underserved populations of Omaha, but also gave me the opportunity to teach at Creighton’s PT program and complete research.

I love being outdoors hiking, going to the beach, playing soccer or running. The only thing better than a good workout, is a good meal!
