Mark is a Licensed Massage Therapist who has been around athletics most of his life. From playing baseball as a kid to high school and running track and cross country for California State University San Marcos, he has experienced the highs and lows athletics offers to people.
Dealing with his own injuries over the years and getting treated with chiropractic, massage and physical therapy, his fascination with the knowledge of how the body can heal grew. After graduating from CSUSM with a double major in Criminology/Justice Studies and Sociology, a few months later he enrolled at Healing Hands School of Holistic Health in their Massage Therapist Program to enrich his knowledge of the human body.
He enjoys working with athletes from all sports and got the opportunity to intern with the Sports Medicine Team at CSUSM during the 2015-2016 school year. Mixing trigger point work with deep tissue and PNF stretching, he was able to help the various athletes get healthy and stay healthy during their seasons.
Other than massage work, Mark has also done substitute teaching from Kindergarten to 8th Grade and worked with the U.S. Paralympic Team as a guide runner for visually impaired athletes.
In his free time, Mark still runs and trains for the occasional race, including anchoring the run leg for RU Race cRUw Triathlon relay teams. He also enjoys hiking, skimboarding, attending concerts and enjoying the present moment.
