Renato first came to San Diego in 2014 to play soccer at the College of the Canyons Community College where he was then recruited to play at the University of California San Diego (UCSD).  He's received his associates degree in Biological and Physical Sciences and then received his bachelors degree in General Biology in 2017.   He has also played for Albion SC Pros here in San Diego as well as the San Diego Sockers.  Renato has played soccer since he was 4 years old and says he doesn't ever plan on stopping.

Family is important to Renato.  He has 2 sisters.  One is older and the other is much younger at age 13.  He also has a 7 year old niece that he views as another sister.

Prior to joining RU, Renato worked at both Starbucks and Peet's Coffee and Tea while in college so he says he's always ready to steam up his favorite whole milk coconut matcha latte.  Why did Renato choose RU? - "I was a volunteer for RU and fell in love with the company!  RU was working my soccer team, Albion SC Pros at the time, and I was able to see and experience first hand how well the Performance Coaches and PT's worked together with us to take us to the next level.  As an intern, and as an athlete, that experience made it a 'no brainer' to formally join this team."
